    Pool closed Monday, Tuesday

    The pool will be closed Monday and Tuesday, June 26-27, for tile work.

    It is scheduled to reopen Wednesday.

    Last Saturday in February — T-ball sign-ups 9 a.m. to noon in rec room

    First Saturday in April — Park Stockdale semi-annual yard sale at participating homes

    April-May — T-ball. Ages 4-7. 5:30-6 Tuesdays and Thursdays

    Saturday before Easter — Easter egg hunt and sack races at pavilion

    May 5 — Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at pavilion

    May 27 — Grand opening of new pickleball courts. Free lessons for beginners.

    Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day weekend — Pool open for summer noon-8 p.m.

    First week of June — Tennis camp directed by Park Stockdale pro Regina Krueger. Fee $400 per child.

    July 4 — Popsicles at the Pool

    July 15 — 8-10 a.m. Free pickleball lessons

    August 26 — 6 p.m. Luau poolside. Entree provided. Bring a potluck side dish or dessert.

    First Saturday in October — Park Stockdale semi-annual yard sale at participating homes

    Veteran’s Day — Decorated car parade, outdoor movie with hot dogs, chips and lemonade

    December — Christmas homes judged. Winners receive prizes

    Board of Directors opening

    There is an opening on the Park Stockdale Civic Association Board of Directors.

    Any Park Stockdale homeowner interested in serving on the 11-member board should contact a director or the office: 205 Rio Bravo Drive; (661) 323-4302;

    Meetings are at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month and typically last a couple of hours. The board’s primary mission is to maintain the facilities and oversee activities there.

    The Park Stockdale Civic Association board of directors would like to hear what’s on the minds of residents.

    If you have suggestions or ideas for activities or want to volunteer to help with community events, please attend the meeting in the recreation room, 205 Rio Bravo Drive, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, or 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29.
