The Park Stockdale Civic Association board of directors voted Monday to extend the adult lap swimming hours from 6 to 8 a.m.

The new hours are 6 a.m. to noon, provided that swimmers do not interfere with the application of chemicals like chlorine and acid or the cleaning and vacuuming of the pool.

If the pool is being serviced, lap swimmers must vacate. If chemicals will linger before dissipating, a sign will be posted saying when it will be safe to get in the water.

No lifeguards are on duty for morning adult lap swimming.

Lap swimmers may obtain gate keys in the office from 9-1 MWF.
