    Movie in the rec room

    A small gathering enjoyed the family movie “Ratatouille” in the rec room Friday night, as rain forced the showing inside.
    The group enjoyed chips and bottled water at the event sponsored by the Park Stockdale Civic Association.

    Office hours change

    The Park Stockdale office hours are changing from three days of mornings only to two days of evenings and one day of afternoons, effective immediately.

    The new hours are: 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays.

    Movie in the park

    The Park Stockdale Civic Association will host a free movie in the park night Friday, Nov. 14, at dusk (5ish).

    The family movie will be shown outdoors by the pavilion. If it rains, the movie will move indoors to the recreation room.

    Chips will be provided. Bring your own chair or blanket.

    Which movie? Come and see.

    Children get an early Halloween treat

    Park Stockdale hosted a Halloween costume parade for neighborhood children along with a fire safety presentation from firefighters from Station 11 on Friday, Oct. 24.

    Firefighters gave a tour of their fire engine to the costumed children, who got to walk behind the front seat and take photos with Firefighter Andrew.

    Captain Bryan Battan and firefighters Andrew and Sean handed out Rice Krispies Treats, chips, candies, lanyards, and kids meal gift cards from Chick-fil-A.

    Board members who organized the annual event were: Roxanne Fackler, Ana Flores and Pat Nolan.

    Hey Park Stockdale kids — Come see our Station 11 fire engine 🚒 today. Our firefighters 👩🏼‍🚒will share some 🔥 fire safety tips and show us the 🚒.

    Wear your costume 👻 🤠 👽. We have treats, including a special treat from Chick-fil-A ‼️.  

    See you today (Oct. 24) at 4 p.m. at the park.

    Halloween costume parade/fire safety talk moved to Oct. 24

    Date change!

    Park Stockdale will host a Halloween costume parade for neighborhood children along with a fire safety presentation from firefighters from Station 11 at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. The date has been moved up from Thursday, Oct. 30, because of a scheduling conflict with the Bakersfield Fire Department.

    Firefighters will give a tour of their fire engine, costumed Park Stockdale children will parade around the fire engine, then firefighters will pass out candy, treats and donated gift certificates from Chick-fil-A.

    Salvation Army comes to Park Stockdale

    Whatever you don’t sell at the semi-annual Park Stockdale yard sale on Oct. 4, you can donate to the Salvation Army on Oct. 11 when they set up in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
